Here's How Much Median Rental Prices Have Changed Around Massachusetts This Year

While Cambridge’s median rent has dropped 15 percent year over year, the city has remained the most costly community for renters in October. Brookline ranked second (with rents down 10 percent), and Boston, which saw a 12.6 percent decrease, was third. The city that experienced the biggest year-over-year price drop was Revere (18.1 percent), while Lynn and Brockton posted the biggest jumps, 15.7 percent and 15.6 percent respectively.

The median rent for a one-bedroom unit in Massachusetts was $1,779 in October.
