Foundation work is progressing at 125 Sumner Street in East Boston's Maverick Square. The upcoming two building project will be home to 22 rental apartments and 30 condos.
The 30 condos at 125 Sumner Street will comprise studio, one-, two-, and three-bedrooms, while its 22 apartments will be three- and four-bedrooms.
The transit-oriented residential development replaces four existing buildings owned and operated by the Boston Housing Authority.
The housing complex will be graciously transformed into a vibrant, pedestrian-friendly residential development.
The project will provide approximately 19 surface parking spots and 50 bicycle storage spaces located on site. A 1,040 square-foot public community room will connect to an outdoor patio with outstanding downtown skyline views.
The apartment building will house approximately 3,400 square-feet of ground-floor retail space.
