This week, the Everett Zoning Board of Appeals has approved plans for development of SKY Everett, a 21-story residential building. The project's development team says that this would be the second-largest building in Everett behind the nearby Encore Boston Harbor casino.
SKY Everett will be built at 114 Spring St. and could potentially reach up to 250 feet in height. The project will need to get approval from the Everett Planning Board, said John Tocco, partner at V10 Development, which is developing the property. Tocco was formerly a community relations executive for Wynn Resorts Ltd.’s Encore property.
"We are humbled and grateful for the unanimous support of the Zoning Board of Appeals. A lot of work remains but this vote gives us the confidence to continue this journey and deliver a project to the community that we can all be proud of,” Tocco said in a statement.
Beyond the residential building, SKY Everett would include a rooftop restaurant run by Nick and Nico Varano, a father and son restaurateur team. The 6,000-square-foot restaurant and lounge would include a 1,500-square-foot roof deck and retractable roof for indoor and outdoor dining.
