A long-awaited Food Hall will soon open its doors in Boston's Fenway neighborhood.
The project stretched back to 2013 as part of a redevelopment of the Landmark Center; which, at one time, included plans for a proposed Wegmans supermarket. Now, the historic office and retail building will feature a 25,000 square-foot market on the ground floor.
The plans further include a 1-acre green space, built on the old surface parking lots in front of 401 Park. The park will be home to a 1,500 square-foot taproom for Trillium Brewery.
The Time Out Market will be home to 15 eateries, two bars, a demo kitchen, a retail shop, and will feature local art and music.
History of Time Out
"Time Out Market will bring a new and unique experience to the city and one of its greatest neighborhoods, The Fenway," Time Out Market CEO Dider Souillat said in a press release. "We can't wait for June 27 when we will open the doors to Boston's next great food and cultural destination. We are incredibly proud that Boston's most outstanding chefs have accepted our invitation to join Time Out Market - they have all been carefully chosen by our Time Out editors to bring the best of Boston under one roof and offer a true taste of the city."
A branch of the Time Out Group, Time Out Market first launched in Lisbon in 2014, followed by Time Out Market Miami and Time Out New York in May. More proposed markets include Time Out Chicago, Montreal, Dubai, London and Prague.
Featured Chefs and Restaurants
Time Out Market will showcase the city's best chefs and restaurants, drink-slingers and cultural offerings, all handpicked by Time Out's editors. The curated mix will offer 15 eateries in one Art Deco-inspired site.
